Illustration for Adidas store launch in Mauritius.
illustration | mural
I had the opportunity to collaborate with Glyn Studio to work on illustrations for Adidas' Trianon store launch in Mauritius.
Grateful to have worked with Paul in visualizing the direction and concept for the mural. I worked on illustrations for direction II (displayed here) and optical refinements for direction I, which Paul worked on.
The full case study will be live on Glyn’s website soon and linked here also.
The Challenge
To design a wall installation for the Adidas Trianon store in Mauritius that celebrates the island’s culture, energy, and sporting spirit while staying true to the Adidas brand. The wall should feel authentic to Mauritius, reflecting its colours, textures, and rhythm, while also connecting to Adidas's global identity.
The Solution
Drawing inspiration from local murals, typography, and everyday design details seen across the island, we explored two directions that offer a unique way to blend athletic energy with Mauritian identity: ‘Spirit in Play’ and ‘Patterns of Play’.
For direction 2, I integrated the athletes with the composition as secondary figures, emerging naturally from the patterned landscape rather than standing apart from it. The use of foreshortening added a sense of movement and dynamism to the figures, creating visual rhythm across the piece.
