Roverchain
Brand design for a crypto-native company tailored for modern businesses.
identity | socials
Roverchain (formerly Host Capital) connects businesses to advanced payment infrastructure using the blockchain. With a mission to accelerate growth through seamless integration, Roverchain offers a suite of products such as Wallet as a Service, Global Settlement, Virtual Cards, and Host + Pay.
The business was going through a name and strategy change, and I was brought in to help lead this evolution. I worked with the team to define the direction for the rebrand.
The Challenge
The brand needed to move away from its current identity and usher in something bright, bold, and free-spirited. Internally, the business needed a cohesive message to represent what it does. Staff members had different opinions on this, and its products and services needed to be well defined and communicated clearly.
The Solution
I anchored the iconmark and visual concept on the Mars Rover Spirit, and gave the brand a fresh coat of paint. To rover is to wander, explore, or discover. The brand color–orange was picked from the wheels of the Mars Rover Spirit, a symbol of energy, optimism, and imagination that a rover should possess.
The accompanying brand patterns draw inspiration from dunes. These natural lines are seen on Mars surface and in deserts. With a new color system, type, iconmark, and layout system, the brand had its own voice and could communicate its message clearly.
